Today I will be blogging a PECO book setting. PECO is a book that my class and I are reading. I had make a google drawings about my favourite setting in the PECO book. There was many, many settings to choose from, but there was a setting that I really enjoyed. It was about a boy called Nicolas Clark and he had ADHD. One day there was another boy called Daniel which is the cousin of Nicolas. They went for bike ride to a beach. Nick went down the beach and three Sea-lions came out the water. Nick scared of them really quickly. Here is my google drawing.

Hangi
Hello everyone
Last week, my class was doing a hangi. We had some help from our school's care taker Matua Ken and a dad. They dug the hole, putting the iron and rocks in and out of the hole. What a lot of hard mahi that was! My whole class loved the food after it was done. We all enjoyed the hangi and we loved having to watch and getting some more experience for when we get older. Here are some photos at the hangi.

Understanding the three laws of motion
Hello,
We have been reading lots of texts about understanding the three laws of motion. Then, we have to find the main ideas and key words in the texts and put them on a DLO in an organised way. Here is the one I did about understanding the three laws of motion. Hope you like it.

Structure of the Earth
Hello,
We are learning about the structure of the Earth.
I learnt that the Earth is made up of 4 layers. They are:
Facts about each layer:
Crust - Is what we are standing on. The crust is the 1st layer on Earth. Now if you keep on
digging 40kms you can't reacth the mantle because it will get too hot for you to even touch
the Mantle.

the Mantle.
Mantle - The Mantle is the 2nd layer on Earth. The Mantle is made out of rock but because
the Mantle is so hot the rocks melt then it gets all squishy and it's like liquid.

Outer Core - The outer core is liquid metal - also mostly Iron and Nickel. The outer core is
4000 - 6000 OC. It is totally liquid.
Inner Core - The very centre of the Earth is the inner core, which is mostly Iron and Nickel.

Inner Core - The very centre of the Earth is the inner core, which is mostly Iron and Nickel.
The inner core is solid because of the pressure pushing down on it from the layers above.
Our group - Ariana, Me and Teziah
First we created a 3D image of the earth using clay and paint.
We then cut the shape in half to show the different layers. After waiting for it to dry, we identified
each layer by painting them in different colours.
