Garden to Table Term 2

                I am standing on my knees to see Amy and the delicious food coming to the table. The 
                kitchen people came to the garden to get some vegetables like potatoes spinach and lots                        more. In the garden we planted peas, broccoli and potatoes.

Handwriting Term 2

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

I am good at everything.

I need to get better at nothing.

Basic Facts Term 2

We have been working on answering basic facts questions quickly and instantly.

I am now at Stage 4.

Multiplication and Division

We have been working on understanding multiplication and division. We are learning to read word problems and answer them by showing our working and the answer we got.

Hot air balloon

This week we have used a picture as motivation for our writing.

We had a story starter and then we had to carry on the story. What I like about my writing is my picture. I need to improve on getting it done quicker.

We also made a google draw showing the things that we would take with us in on the balloon.

When the green balloon was nearly to the finish line another hot air balloon  was right by him and then I said to the other hot air balloon “ I just want to win! Not you! I should win because you won before!” “well I want to win again!”. When the girl was talking, the finish line was near so I sped up  and then finally I won! I won $1,000,000 to share to poor people and some to go on a trip to Hawaii. Some of the money was to buy a gumball machine too. “Hey! do you want me to share my money with you ” “ yes I would love to”. And so we both share the money?" yes I would love to then every thing was good.

ASB getwise

On Wednesday we had Marlon from ASB Get wise talking to us about saving our money,
spending money on needs not wants and using invisible money ie eftpos.
I have made a google draw to show what I have learnt. I liked learning about money.

Learning golf

We have been learning how to play golf.

I liked making Mr Golf do ten push ups.

I am good at hitting the ball hard.

I need to work on getting it further.

Animal Town

This week we have used another picture as motivation for our writing.

What I like about my writing is my animals.

Hi I am a cheetah that lives in Animal Town. Today was a very weird day because a family came to Animal Town and they had a little girl called Heidi. “Calling all animals please came to the king and queen, thank you.” screeched a bird. “Uh oh! Is it something bad king Lion?” I asked. “Yes it is something bad because a new family has come to Animal Town and that means we need to battle.” replied the lion. “But what if they have guns or something that we don’t?” asked the monkey. “Well do you know what we have that they don’t?” King lion said. “No what?” “Sharp teeth and you and your family have speed and sharp teeth then you and your family can go second, okay.”
