For the past few days we have been learning again about planet earth and beyond. We made our own question that we wanted to find out and research on. The learning behind this task was to find the answer to a wondering of our own, I had about planet earth and beyond. My wondering question was: Why do planets orbit around the sun? So that was my focus. I really enjoyed working with others. I need to work on doing it independently. I have learnt: That orbit means going around an object or a star, and that the sun is a star not a planet.
Kia Ora Hayley, my name is Nevaeh and I am a year 6 student at Paihia School. I really enjoyed your slide about planets. I enjoyed how you added photos to show all of the planets. I also really enjoyed how you explained what you learnt in your own words and then you added the meaning from a dictionary. At first I never knew what orbit meant but as I started reading through your slide I started to learn new things. Did you find out why planets orbit around the sun?
